My friends Kirsten and Eddie Prosser are pretty impressive. They opened OnQueStyle, a designer resale boutique and styling agency, nearly four years ago on Pacific Coast Highway in Corona del Mar, and it is wildly successful. With Kirsten’s retail fashion background at Donna Karan New York and her work as a personal shopper and style consultant for wealthy women throughout Southern California along with Eddie’s business acumen, theirs is a perfect combination.
You name the designer label, and I guarantee you will find it at OnQueStyle. Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes (the hard-to-find Kelly and Birkin bags are numerous), Fendi, Yves Saint Laurent, Oscar de la Renta, Alexander McQueen, Marchesa – the list goes on and on. Kirsten tells me their designer goods come from clients all over the country, including some name celebrities. Much of the fashion and accessories come to the store with the tags still on, and the store’s website and E-Bay business have gone out of sight, attracting national and international business.
The successful duo recently celebrated their store’s expansion, doubling the boutique’s space, with a party for 150 clients and friends. Kirsten and Eddie were all-smiles. “The business grew much faster than we expected,” Kirsten said. “It’s really exciting!”
A very happy Jeremy Scruggs won the raffle prize – a Louis Vuitton Messenger Bag. “My wife Tara will be thrilled,” Jeremy said. “She’s home with our four-year-old Lola.”
The husband and wife team introduced a new way to give to charity by offering a program called Your Clothes. Your Cause, whereby clients consigning designer items can contribute any amount of their proceeds to a charity of their choice. An added bonus is that OnQueStyle will donate an additional 10% to their selected charity.
Plans are in the works for more OnQueStyle boutiques, with Beverly Hills first on the list. Stay tuned…
