Thanks to the very charitable House of Harry Winston, a new fundraising endeavor was launched in November for CHOC Children’s. One of seven charities across the country to be the recipient of the new Harry Winston Hope Collection bracelet, the honor was announced at an elegant cocktail soiree at Harry Winston’s South Coast Plaza, where Salon Director Michael Moser announced that the monies raised would go towards Seacrest Studios, a collaboration between CHOC and the Ryan Seacrest Foundation that aims to positively impact the healing process for children and their families. Seacrest Studios, as Moser explained, is an interactive media studio within CHOC Children’s hospital that empowers young patients to explore the creative realms of radio, television and new media.
Members of the Ryan Seacrest family, who run the foundation, attending included Ryan’s mother and father, Gary and Connie Seacrest, and his sister Meredith Seacrest. Among the other guests were Andrew and Robin Torok, Valarie Van Cleave, Christine Bren, Frank and Geri Kate M. Pearce, South Coast Plaza Managing Partner Anton Segerstrom, Executive Director of Marketing Debra Gunn Downing and Director of Community Relations Kathryn Cenci, Harry Winston Marketing Director Laura Downing, and CHOC executives Dr. Maria Minon, Kerri Schiller, Graig Eastin, Hope Contrucci and Patrice Poidmore.
The limited edition bracelet drew raves all-round with its sleek white gold and engraved mother-of-pearl design set with a delicate Winston diamond at the center. Retailing for $2,500, the evening concluded with 18 bracelets sold of the 25 offered. Harry Winston is donating 100% of the retail sales price to CHOC. Hear! Hear!
